Another award was given to Rally “Papa Gio” Vargas, the Founder and CEO of V81 Radio during the 6th Outstanding Men & Women of the Philippines 2022 at Promenade, Greenhills in San Juan City on August 27, 2022. 

Daisy Galanto received the award on behalf of Papa Gio.

The award giving body is headed by the Philippines’ Awards Guru, Mr. Richard Hiñola where they recognize individuals who has great contributions in the society and in their respective industries.

Papa Gio was recognized for his contribution in the media industry because of his online radio program, “Home not Alone”, which became a platform for Local and International Singers and Artists to share their remarkable stories, personal lives, and musical journeys. The show is aired live and on demand on 17 digital platforms of V81 Radio every Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm California time or Thursday and Friday 10am Philippine Time.

Papa Gio began his professional life through the radio broadcast arena, spanning almost 2 decades of being a successful Radio Personality and Creative Production Supervisor in top Philippine Radio Stations like ABS-CBN Radio 101.5 Bacolod, Barangay LS 97.1 FM Manila, and Energy FM Manila. 

In 2015, his enduring passion for music precipitated the birth of V81 Radio, a Filipino Online Radio Station that currently boasts of footholds in Los Angeles, California, Manila, and Hong Kong. 

Now based in Los Angeles, California, Rally “Papa Gio” is kept busy producing podcasts and online digital shows for his growing Transource Media clientele that now includes the likes of Hollywood thespian Monique Mannen and celebrity fitness icon Lauren Powers and being the highly involved Global CEO of V81 Radio while helming his own show, Home not Alone with Papa Gio.
